Implementation Timeline
This timeline outlines the phased development of the Intelligent Classroom initiative in Cameroon — from early partnership formation to nationwide deployment.
Foundation & Partnership Formation
Promethean initiates strategic dialogue with the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) to explore opportunities for strengthening Cameroon’s digital education ecosystem. Early discussions focus on classroom digitization, content access, and teacher capacity building.
Distance Learning Centre (DLC) Upgrade
The Distance Learning Centre in Yaoundé is upgraded with interactive displays and recording infrastructure. Educators begin producing thousands of curriculum-aligned video lessons for national distribution.
Content Ecosystem Development
MicroCloud-based content distribution is integrated, enabling schools to access curriculum-aligned digital resources offline — particularly in low-connectivity regions.
Intelligent Classroom Pilot Conception
Joint planning begins for the deployment of 252 intelligent classrooms. Frameworks are developed covering training, evaluation, sustainability, and national scalability.
Commonwealth Delegation Visit
- Master Trainer Workshop (25 trainers)
- National Conference chaired by Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga
- Classroom observations with students using Promethean panels
- Delegation meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute
- Large-scale teacher training and certification (50+ teachers trained and certified)
Teacher Training Acceleration (Phase 2)
Master trainers coordinate regional sessions to prepare teachers for interactive teaching, MicroCloud integration, and intelligent classroom lesson design.
Deployment of 252 Intelligent Classrooms
Nationwide rollout of Promethean panels and MicroCloud units. Each school receives training, monitoring, and coaching support.
